My sister, Heather, turns another year older today. So, last night I took her to Fredericksburg to see Hello Dolly! at The Riverside Dinner Theater and staring Sally Struthers. It was FAN-TASTIC!!! The meal was amazing, as usual, and we learned a lot about the differences between the original stage play and the hollywood film staring Barbara Streisand, which apparantly was a flop when it first came out in theaters. It's strange to think the movie wasn't successful originally, because it's hugely popular in my family. We grew up watching it and singing the songs. It is definitely a Crafton family favorite!
We also enjoyed the company of our parents and grandmother! We all drove up together and enjoyed the scenic route through downtown Fredericksburg on our way to the theater. We were seated together during the show and just had an all-around blast! It was truly a great night of family and entertainment and celebration!
